오후 3시 30분부터인 울력 시간을 새벽으로 당긴 날이었습니다.

바로 1주일 전, 뜨거운 볕을 받으며 김매기를 했다가 뻗어버린 활동가들의 원성에

요 날은 아침 6시로 울력 시간을 옮겼는데요.

주지스님채 바로 옆 논 바닥에 스멀스멀 퍼져 있는 풀 잡기를 했습니다.

머리채를 잡아 뜯듯이 풀을 뽑아내라는 대중샘의 말씀,,

한두시간 그렇게 물 속 억센 풀들을 뽑고 나면, 손마디가 얼얼해지지요.

아- 여름의 땅은 어느 때보다도 생생하지만 참 힘드네요.
